So, what does the role involve?
As our Cybersecurity Specialist, you’ll ensure the secure operation of our e-commerce services. You’ll be tasked with overseeing and managing the security of our cloud-based solutions and infrastructure. You’ll routinely audit and identify potential vulnerabilities and work alongside our IT and operations teams to strengthen our security protocols.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage our security systems to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Perform routine audits to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and processes.
- Conduct security risk assessments and report on possible threats.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance security protocols.
- Provide cybersecurity training and guidelines to team members.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their security requirements
- Crafting and implementing technical and conceptual security solutions
- Enhancing existing security systems and ensuring their optimal performance
- Conducting regular security audits and risk assessments
- Dealing with larger cybersecurity projects by coordinating with other internal developers
- Overseeing testing and quality assurance of security implementations
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws, cyber fraud, and breaches.
- Proficiency in security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle stress.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Committed Cybersecurity professional, motivated to devise robust solutions
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client, colleague, and partner interaction
- Eagerness to grow both professionally and personally
- Strong digital acumen and interest in emerging technologies
- Solid experience with information security management and risk mitigation
- Ability to think creatively, solving problems efficiently and effectively
- Inclination to deliver above and beyond the call of duty
- A challenge-driven, results-oriented approach
- Capable of working independently and responsibly
Additional (but not essential): Experience with Shopify / Cloud-based platforms
